This matter has already been under consideration by the Government and directions on the point were given to the county engineers and county managers at their recent meeting with the Tánaiste.
If legislation should prove to be necessary to give effect to the Government decision proposals to amend the Valuation Acts in this respect will be brought before the Oireachtas.
