Vol. 124 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Married Soldiers' Housing Accommodation.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he will say what provision is being made for the housing needs of married members of the Defence Forces stationed in Cork.

Five additional houses for married officers are in course of erection at Collins Barracks, Cork, and it is expected that they will be completed in about a month's time. As stated by the former Minister for Defence in reply to a parliamentary question by Deputy McGrath on the 22nd February, 1951, the question of providing houses for married soldiers at the larger military centres, including Cork, is constantly under consideration and every effort is being made to solve the problem.
