Vol. 125 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Proposed Haulbowline School.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that there are some 53 children under 14 years resident on Haulbowline Island, and that Irish Steel, Limited, have offered premises suitable for a schoolroom at a nominal rent; and, if so, what steps he is taking to make provision for a national school on the island.

Representations have been made to me regarding the question of providing a national school on Haulbowline Island and my Department is in communication with the parish priest of the area in regard to the question.
