Vol. 125 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork City Revaluation.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the very low poor law valuation of Cork City is throwing an unduly heavy burden on the ratepayers of the South Cork Rural Area which forms with the city a joint area for public assistance purposes; and, if so, if he will take immediate steps to have the city revalued.

I am not aware that the position is as stated by the Deputy. In any case the initiative in the matter of revaluation rests with the local authority.
