Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Milk Supplies.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state (1) the total quantity of milk received at creameries in the first three months of this year and in the corresponding period last year, and (2) the total quantity of milk supplied by producers in the Dublin sales area (excluding milk supplied by creameries) in the first three months of this year and in the corresponding period of last year.

(1) The total quantities of milk received at creameries in the first three months of 1950 and 1951 were approximately 13,900,000 gallons and 10,200,000 gallons respectively.

(2) The total quantities of milk supplied by producers (exclusive of creameries) for liquid consumption in the Dublin sale district for the first two months of 1950 and 1951 were 3,229,255 gallons and 3,263,281 gallons respectively. The figure for March, 1950, was 1,741,257 gallons, but the corresponding figure for March, 1951, is not yet available.
