Vol. 125 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Production of Chemicals.

Major de Valera

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce with reference to his reply to Question No. 19 on the Order Paper for 18th April, 1951 (a) if he will state and enumerate the chemicals referred to in the first part of the said question and reply, and whether proposals for the production of any chemicals other than sulphate of ammonia and sulphuric acid are "under active consideration at present"; and, if so, what chemicals.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the official report a statement containing the desired information so far as it is available.

Except in regard to sulphate of ammonia and sulphuric acid there are no actual manufacturing proposals at present under consideration.
