Vol. 125 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Youghal Sea Wall.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether the scheme under the Local Authorities (Works) Act for the rebuilding of and repairs to the sea wall at Youghal has yet been examined by his Department; and, if so, whether it has been decided to sanction the scheme; furthermore, whether, in view of the fact that it is essential that the work be done during the summer months, he will have the decision conveyed to the Cork County Council as soon as possible.

The proposal of the Cork County Council in regard to the sea wall at Youghal has been considered, but in the absence of detailed information and in view of the constructional difficulties likely to be encountered more precise particulars are required from the council. These particulars have been requested but have not yet been submitted.
