Vol. 126 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industries for Youghal and Fermoy.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the appalling economic and employment position in the towns of Youghal and Fermoy, he will give the particular assistance of his Department and issue instructions to the Industrial Development Authority for the purpose of providing the establishment of industries in both towns.

I understand that both Youghal and Fermoy have active development associations with whom, and with all others who may be interested, I will be glad to co-operate in furthering every practical proposal for industrial development in those areas.
