asked the Minister for Finance if he will state (a) where the River Moy drainage scheme is placed on the priority list; (b) when the survey is likely to commence; (c) whether it is intended to include Lough Cullen and Lough Conn on the general scheme; (d) pending the main arterial drainage scheme, if it is intended to give a temporary relief by the removal of three obstructions at Mountfalcon, Foxford and Cloonfee, and (e) whether he is aware that if those obstructions are not removed this summer a large number of small farmers adjoining the two lakes and the River Moy will be rendered penniless after another year similar to last winter through flooding.

As stated by me on the 28th June, 1951, in reply to a similar question by Deputy Ruttledge, this matter is at present under consideration. The Deputy might please repeat his question in about three weeks' time. I may say, however, that any comprehensive arterial drainage scheme for the River Moy will include Loughs Cullen and Conn.
