Vol. 126 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Convent Extension.

asked the Minister for Education if he has approved of the plans for the extra room to be built at the Presentation Convent, Mitchelstown.

Revised sketch plans for a scheme for the extension and improvement of Mitchelstown Convent National School, which were prepared by the manager's architect, are at present under consideration by the Commissioners of Public Works. The commissioners expect to be in a position to furnish a report on the plans at a very early date, and as soon as the report comes to hand the Department will communicate with the manager.

Will the Minister say whether there is any chance of the building of this room, which is going to be used for a secondary school, being expedited? At the moment the space there is very limited. It would be well if it could be started now and finished before next October.
