Vol. 126 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fermoy Housing Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether he has yet given his sanction to the contract for the new housing scheme at Fermoy; and, if not, whether he will expedite the decision in view of the shortage of housing accommodation in that town.

I presume that this question relates to a group of 24 houses which the Fermoy Urban District Council propose to provide at Newtown, Fermoy. Tenders for this scheme were received in my Department yesterday. They are being considered and a decision thereon will be conveyed to the housing authority without avoidable delay.
