Vol. 126 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Castlemartyr Housing Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of the delay in sanctioning the proposed new housing scheme at Castlemartyr, the plans of which have been with his Department since March of this year.

Some delay occurred in approving a tender for the erection of 34 houses at Castlemartyr while the question as to whether it would be preferable to have the work carried out by direct labour was being examined.

The Cork County Council were notified on the 19th ultimo that there was no objection to their proposal to accept the lowest tender for the work.
