Vol. 126 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kinsale Grant.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that an application has been received from Kinsale Urban Council for a grant, under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, of £2,000; and, if so, whether he is prepared to make the allocation.

The Kinsale Urban District Council has submitted 12 schemes under the Local Authorities (Works) Act for consideration for grants in the current financial year. Ten of these schemes, estimated to cost £1,238, are receiving favourable consideration. The other two schemes are not regarded as suitable for execution under the Act and are not, therefore, being approved.
