Vol. 126 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage Co-operation.

asked the Taoiseach whether he will take steps to coordinate the drainage sections of the Department of Agriculture, the Office of Public Works and the Land Commission, with a view to carrying out the drainage of the country efficiently and expenditiously.

The question of the co-ordination of drainage in its various aspects is a complicated one, with many difficulties. There is already a certain degree of co-ordination of the drainage activities of the various Departments, but I am having the whole matter examined with a view to seeing whether anything further can be done in the direction indicated by the Deputy.
