Vol. 126 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Harbour Development.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the enormous revenue which the Cork Harbour Commissioners received in the past and will undoubtedly receive as soon as oil storage facilities are again provided at Haulbowline, he will ensure that at least 75 per cent. of such revenue will be used in providing improvements in the harbour, such as the building of a deep water quay at Cobh, which town has been neglected by the Cork Harbour Commissioners for a number of years.

I have no power to take action on the lines indicated by the Deputy. The manner in which revenue is to be applied is a matter for consideration in the first instance by the Cork Harbour Commissioners.
