Vol. 126 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Whiddy Island Pier.

asked the Minister for Finance whether it is correct that a grant of £400 has been allocated by his Department, supplementing a grant of £400 given by the Cork County Council, towards the reconstruction of a landing pier at Whiddy Island ; and, if so, if he will indicate when the work is to commence.

A State grant of 50 per cent. of the cost or £400, whichever is the lesser, has been sanctioned towards the cost of an improvement scheme at the Bank, Whiddy Island, County Cork, and the county council has contributed £400 towards the cost. It is expected to have the works put in hands during the autumn.
