Vol. 126 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killarney Mental Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health whether he is aware that officers of his Department carried out an investigation recently in connection with the accommodation of the staff of the mental hospital, Killarney ; and, if so, if he is in a position to make a statement in the matter.

I am aware of the investigation to which the Deputy refers.

It is the intention to provide increased staff accommodation at this institution by converting the resident medical superintendent's house to a nurses' home and approval to the plans, subject to certain minor modifications, has been conveyed to the local authority.
