Vol. 126 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sheep Breeding Scheme.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware of the proposed special sheep breeding scheme for County Kerry and whether he is prepared to supplement the necessary Estimate for the carrying through of this scheme.

Mr. Walsh

Discussions have taken place but I am not aware that any special sheep breeding scheme has been formulated for County Kerry. Consequently, I am not in a position to comment on the question of funds.

I may add that it is proposed to locate in the county this season in the ordinary course of my Department's special term ram scheme, a large number of mountain rams, both homebred and imported, if procurable.
