Vol. 127 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Waterford Contract.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that a serious complaint was lodged with the Office of Public Works by Mr. John Nolan, 14 Water Street, Waterford City some time in 1950, in connection with a contract in Waterford City and that notwithstanding his having been assured that his complaint would be investigated he has since heard nothing in connection with the matter and, if so, whether he will ensure that the complaint is investigated at an early date.

No complaint was lodged by Mr. John Nolan with the Commissioners of Public Works but representations were made on his behalf by two Deputies. The matter was investigated and it was found that the dispute which existed between Mr. Nolan and the contractor who employed him was not one in which the commissioners could intervene.
