Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Mousetraps.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state for each of the years 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950 and in the year 1951 to date the number and value of the mousetraps imported.

The information requested by the Deputy is not available as imports of mousetraps are brought to account with other descriptions of hardware under an import list heading of a general nature.

Will the Tánaiste tell us what he meant by his nonsensical interjection last week?

I understand that the previous Government had some people who were as meek as mice and no doubt they wanted them to look after them.

Is it because there were a few mousetraps in the Government Departments that the "spoiled five" were caught?

They were all empty.

Is it because the mice are hard necked that the traps are hardware?
