Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Relief of Congestion—County Mayo.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state (a) what plans the Land Commission have for the relief of the congestion which exists in Clooncunra and Ballynagarragha; (b) if any tenants will be migrated during the coming spring from these townlands; (c) what lands, if any, the Land Commission hold in or near these townlands, and (d) what decision was taken in the case of the acquisition of the Leech estate (Record No. 2224), County Mayo.

(a) The holdings in this area have been surveyed, but rearrangement and improvement must await the outcome of migration and resumption proposals at present in hands; (b) it is not possible to state at this stage what migrations, if any, will be carried out next spring; (c) a total of 45 acres in the two townlands; (d) proceedings have been instituted for the resumption of a holding on the Leech estate.
