Vol. 127 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Children's Allowances.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether he is yet in a position to state the extent to which the Government propose to extend or increase children's allowances, and the date upon which he proposes to introduce proposals for legislation in regard to the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply which I gave on the 31st October last to a question raised by him in the same matter. I have not anything at present to add to that reply.

In order to save time and trouble to everybody concerned, would the Minister indicate when we might repeat these questions instead of having to repeat them every week?

I hope to introduce proposals for legislation before we adjourn for Christmas.
