Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Passenger Movements.

Mr. O'Higgins

asked the Taoiseach if he will state in respect of the year 1950 (a) the total number of persons who travelled from this country to Britain, the Six Counties and places abroad, (b) the total number who travelled into the country from places abroad, (c) the numbers of such passengers in or out of the country who completed the passenger card inquiry form issued to them by the Central Statistics Office.

The information requested by the Deputy is available in the article "Tourist and Other Travel Receipts and Expenditure" on pp. 166-168, Irish Trade Journal and Statistical Bulletin, September, 1951. The statistics asked for at (a) and (b) will be found in Table 6 and those asked for at (c) will be found in Table 2 of the article in question.
