Vol. 127 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Workers' Half-Holiday.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that workers employed in the capacity of agricultural workers at Coláiste Ide, Dingle, County Kerry, are not getting a weekly half-holiday; and, if so, if he will now give instructions granting these employees a half-day each week.

The farm workers at Coláiste Ide, Dingle, County Kerry, are employed at present at hourly rates of wages on the basis of a 50-hour week. It is understood that six days of equal length are worked per week. I have already instituted inquiries into the matter raised by the Deputy.
