Vol. 127 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Site for School.

asked the Minister for Education if any report has been received in his Department from the Office of Public Works, on the suitability of the site offered by Mrs. Howley for the erection of a school at Richill, Lisnagry, County Limerick; and, if so, whether he will state if the site is considered suitable, and, if suitable, if he will expedite the erection of the school, so that the very serious condition under which children and teachers are working in the old school will be remedied.

I am advised that the site on the lands of Mrs. Howley which the manager offered for a new school to replace the present Richill National School, Lisnagry, County Limerick, would not be acceptable unless an extension were obtained which would increase the depth of the plot so as to enable a school building of the size required to be properly sited thereon. The Department is in communication with the manager in regard to the question of the site for this new school.
