Vol. 127 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Voters' Registration Staff.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether there has recently been a reduction of the number of inspectors in the voters' registration section of the Dublin Corporation, and whether it is a fact that the present staff is completely inadequate to check the queries in connection with the issue and return of E.A. 1 forms; and, if so, what steps he is taking to rectify this matter and ensure that the 1951-52 Register will be complete and accurate.

I have no information as to the number of persons employed by the deputy registration officer in connection with the preparation of the Electors' Lists for the County Borough of Dublin, and I have received no complaints that the staff employed is inadequate.

The Minister has not obtained the information?

Why should I obtain information on a matter on which I have received no complaints?

There is a question in the Dáil.

From a Deputy who is a member of the borough council concerned.
