Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rents of Post Offices.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state (a) the total amount of rent paid each year for each of the post offices in the Cities of Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway; (b) the rent paid each year for the factories and workshops in these cities, and (c) the ground rent paid for each of these buildings.

As the reply is mainly in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, a Chinn Chomhairle, with your permission, to circulate it with the Official Report. Following is the statement:—

(a) the total amounts of rent exclusive of ground rent payable annually in respect of post offices in the Cities of Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway are £1,455 3s. 9d., £129 3s. 10d., nil, £50 0s. 0d., nil, respectively.

(b) the total amounts of rent, exclusive of ground rent, payable annually in respect of other post office premises in the cities named are £1,362 9s. 4d., £378, £269 13s. 4d., £3, nil, respectively.

(c) the total amounts of ground rents payable annually on post office premises in these cities are £883 4s. 4d., £40, £94 13s. 9d., 1/-, £33, respectively.
