Vol. 128 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Civil Servant's Sick Leave.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of occasions on which Mr. D.J. O'Donovan, the former Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare, absented himself from duty on grounds of sick absence in 1948, 1949 and 1950, and the total period covered by his sick absence during those years.

The number of days on which Mr. O'Donovan was absent on sick leave in each of the years 1948, 1949 and 1950 totalled two, 23 and 64 respectively, the grand total being 89 days. Sundays and public holidays occurring within the period of an illness are included in these totals.
