Vol. 128 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Central Bank Directors' Fees.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the annual salaries, fees and other remunerations paid to the governor and other directors of the Central Bank.

In accordance with the provisions of the Central Bank Act, 1942, the remuneration of the governor of the Central Bank of Ireland is determined by the board of the bank and I have no function in the matter. The remuneration of the directors, which is determined by the Minister for Finance, is at the rate of £500 a year.
