Vol. 129 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Milk Products.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state what amount of cheese, evaporated milk and chocolate crumb was exported from creameries in the Republic of Ireland in each of the years 1950 and 1951.

Statistics of exports of cheese, evaporated milk and chocolate crumb from creameries are not available. Total exports of cheese amounted to 8,797 cwt. in 1950 and to 8,041 cwt. in 1951. Statistics of exports of "evaporated milk" (so described) are not available but total exports of condensed milk amounted to 165,973 cwt. in 1950 and to 173,802 cwt. in 1951. Total exports of chocolate crumb amounted to 393,825 cwt. in 1950 and to 502,249 cwt. in 1951.

No wonder you stumbled over the figures, they are so remarkable.
