Vol. 129 No. 1

Death of President of Iceland. - Supplementary and Additional Estimates.

I move:—

That leave be given by the Dáil to introduce the following Supplementary and Additional Estimates for the service of the year ending on the 31st March, 1952, namely:—

Vote No:—

17 (Rates on Government Property),

26 (Ordance Survey),

28 (Fisheries),

29 (Office of the Minister for Justice),

47 (Lands),

61 (Old Age Pensions),

67 (Health),

73 (An Chomhairle Ealaíon).

Leave granted.

It is proposed, if the House has no objection, to take Supplementary Estimate No. 61—Old Age Pensions—to-morrow. The Estimate could be circulated this evening.

Are we to take it that the other Supplementary Estimates will be left over until next week?

What makes the Old Age Pensions Supplementary Estimate urgent for to-morrow?

The need for funds to pay them.

You are not as badly off as that—notwithstanding the dismal speeches.

Agreed.
