The greater proportion of the land so far offered to my Department for forestry purposes in the Ardara area is unplantable or of doubtful plantability. If those who have offered land were prepared to include a higher proportion of plantable land in their offers or if further suitable offers were forthcoming the prospects of the early establishment of a forest centre here would be considerably improved.
