Vol. 129 No. 1

Written Answers. - Division of Ganly Estate, Skerries.

asked the Minister for Lands whether it has been decided to divide the lands of Ganly Estate, Baldongan, Skerries (Record No. S.9872) amongst local uneconomic holders who were obliged to pay rent for the use of these lands in recent years and if he will indicate the names of persons who were selected for allotments and the acreage allotted to each person.

The Ganly estate comprices 46½ acres. Of this area 33½ acres have been allotted for the enlargement of three uneconomic holdings, 12 acres have been allotted in exchange for a smallholding, and the balance of one acre, comprising an isolated plot difficult of access, has been allotted to the person who always had the use of it. It would be undesirable and contrary to practice to supply the information sought in the last part of the question.

The Dail adjourned at 10.30 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 31st, 1952.
