Vol. 129 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wheat Prices.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will give comparative prices for wheat in 1951, and indicate what price is to be paid in 1952.

Mr. Walsh

For millable wheat of the 1951 harvest bushelling 57 lb. but less than 60 lb., the standard price is 67/6 per barrel. For wheat bushelling 60 lb. or over, a bonus of 2/6 per barrel is payable and for millable wheat bushelling less than 57 lb., a deduction of 2/6 per barrel is made.

For millable wheat of the 1952 crop, the corresponding standard price is 75/- per barrel with a bonus or deduction of 2/6 per barrel on the same basis as in 1951.
