Vol. 129 No. 8

- High Court Sittings.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that people of the South of Ireland are seriously inconvenienced and put to a good deal of unnecessary expense because there are not regular sittings of the High Court held in Cork; and, if so, if he will take steps to provide for sittings of this court in the southern capital in the near future.

There is, I think, a case for having certain types of High Court actions heard in Cork and I have under consideration the steps that would have to be taken to enable this to be done.

Can the Minister give any indication as to when it will be possible to arrange to have these actions heard in court?

Mr. Boland

All I can say is: as soon as possible. It will not be in this particular session because amending legislation will be required in connection with the Jury Acts.
