Vol. 129 No. 8

- County Cork Creamery.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he has received a request for a licence from the Bandon Co-operative Society to build a creamery in Ahidhill district, County Cork; and, if so, if he is prepared to sanction the proposal.

Mr. Walsh

I received an application from the Bandon Co-operative Agricultural and Dairy Society, Limited, for a licence under the Creamery Act, 1928, to establish a cream-separating station in the Aghyohil-Kilnameela district of County Cork, but I have refused the application as I am satisfied that the needs of the farmers in the district are being adequately served by a number of neighbouring cream-separating stations.
