- Credit Facilities to Farmers.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the additional credit facilities that are being made available to farmers this year under the following headings: (1) seeds and fertilisers; (2) agricultural implements and (3) live stock.

The credit facilities heretofore available to farmers have been supplemented by:—

(1)the provision of credit by the Irish Flour Millers' Association for their agents who supply farmers with fertilisers and seed wheat;

(2)the new scheme of loans for the purchase of agricultural implements and machinery costing from £40 to £750 each; and

(3)the new scheme of loans, of from £25 to £300, for the purchase of cattle and sheep.
