Vol. 129 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dungloe District Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state the present position regarding the Dungloe district hospital project.

Observations on the sketch plans for this project issued to the local authority on 20th February and the local authority have indicated that their architects have been instructed to proceed with the preparation of working drawings.

Is the Minister aware that the local authority say that the Department is holding up this project? The local authority is passing the buck to the Minister.

I think that is hardly fair, because the last meeting of the local authority was in 11th February and the Department gave its decision on 20th February, which was not too bad.

Will the Minister take steps to ensure that the local authority, or whoever is to blame, will expedite the building of this hospital?

Yes, we are all agreed on that.
