Vol. 129 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Graving Dock.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of the construction of the new graving dock in Dublin (a) the date on which the contract was signed; (b) the contract period, and (c) the total number of workers employed at present on the contract.

The contract for the new graving dock was placed by the Dublin Port and Docks Board and responsibility rests with the board for seeing that the work is carried out in accordance with the terms of the contract. Consequently, I consider that any request for information on points such as those covered in the question should be addressed direct to the board.
