Vol. 130 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Córas Iompair Éireann Fares.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that travellers on the Córas Iompair Éireann route Malahide-Dublin (42A) are denied the facility of weekly fares at reduced rates; and, if so, if he will request Córas Iompair Eireann to ensure that workers who are travelling by this route will be treated similarly to workers in other areas and given the benefit of weekly tickets.

The responsibility for fixing their rates and fares has been placed by the Transport Act, 1950, on the board of Córas Iompair Éireann. I suggest that the Deputy should address his request direct to the board.
