Vol. 133 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Waterford Water and Sewerage Scheme.

andMr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Local Government whether the revised plans for the installation of a water and sewerage scheme for Lismere and Cappoquin submitted to his Department by Waterford County Council have yet been approved, and, if so, if he will state when the necessary sanction for the scheme will be issued.

The general lines of the proposals submitted for the water supply were approved last November and contract documents were furnished last February.

The sanitary authority have been informed that considerable revisions in these documents will be required before they can be approved as a basis on which reliable tenders can be invited.

The submission of the revised documents is awaited. No proposals in respect of sewerage are before my Department.
