Vol. 133 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Kiosks: Tralee.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state if his Department received a further request from Tralee Urban District Council regarding the erection of telephone kiosks at Rock Street, Oak Park Cross and Strand Street, Tralee, and, if so, if he will now state if it is proposed to erect them.

The answer to the first part of the question is yes.

As regards the second part, it is not at present proposed to erect kiosks at the places proposed by the urban district council because kiosks at these places would not be likely to be self-supporting. Arrangements are in train to provide a third kiosk in Tralee in a central position convenient to both Rock Street and Strand Street.
