Vol. 133 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Proposed Killarney School.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the necessity for the erection of a new Presentation Monastery national school in Killarney and if he will state the present position in connection with the application for a grant and the possibility of executing such a work in the near future.

I am aware of the need for the replacement of the present Killarney Monastery National School. Certain preliminary arrangements, which are being attended to, must, however, be completed before the Department will be in a position to sanction a grant, and I cannot therefore say at this stage when the work of erecting the new building will commence.
