Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postmen's Superannuation Allowances.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state what amount is at present allowed for superannuation purposes in respect of postmen's uniform and what sums were allowed in (a) 1914, (b) 1922 and (c) 1939.

The answer to (a), (b) and (c) of the Deputy's question is £2 7s. 6d. for established officers appointed to the postman class before 1st July, 1911 and £2 for those appointed on or after that date. These amounts are still applicable.
