Vol. 134 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Postal Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if, in view of the late delivery of mail in the Rannyhual area, Meenbanaid Post Office, County Donegal, and the late despatch of outgoing mail from the district, he will take steps to improve the postal services in the area.

Arrangements are being made to restore the former time of delivery in Rannyhual area, Meenbanaid. It is not possible to arrange that correspondence handed to the postman in the course of his delivery in Rannyhual will secure the outward despatch from Meenbanaid Post Office the same day, but the possibility of rearranging the delivery and collection of letters from this area so as to improve the present facilities is being further examined. I will communicate the result to the Deputy as early as possible.
