Vol. 134 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Oats.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that unremunerative prices are being paid for this season's oat crop; and, if so, if he will take such steps as he may deem necessary to ensure that an economic price will be paid.

Mr. Walsh

I am aware that prices for oats of the 1952 crop have been somewhat lower than those ruling last year. The market has shown an improving tendency, however, and I do not consider that official intervention is called for.
