Vol. 134 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Palmerstown Post Office Services.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the urgent need for a money office and telegraph office at Palmerstown village owing to considerable building development and, further, if he will consider providing a more frequent letter delivery service.

Money Order facilities are already available at Palmerstown Sub-Post Office.

The amount of correspondence available would not justify the provision of a second postal delivery, nor would the provision of telegraph facilities be warranted. When the telephone kiosk which it is proposed to provide at Palmerstown has been erected it will, of course, be possible to send telegrams from it by dialling "39."
