Vol. 135 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Hydro-Electric Proposal.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is now in a position to indicate the exact area in South Kerry for which the proposed hydro-electric scheme at the Comeragh River, Waterville, County Kerry, will cater.

The supply provided from an electricity generating station is linked for distribution with the national grid system and is not assigned to meet the demand for any particular area or areas.

It is expected, however, that the development of the Comeragh River scheme will facilitate the extension of supply to consumers in the Iveragh peninsula.
