Preliminary sketch plans for a new post office and telephone exchange at Letterkenny have been prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works and are at present being examined in my Department. No accurate forecast of the date of commencement of construction of the building can be given at this stage but it appears unlikely that building operations can commence in the next financial year.
