The number of new industries, including extensions to existing undertakings, which came to the notice of my Department as having commenced production during the period 1st June, 1951 to date is 140. There may, of course, be others of which there is no official record to date.
Information on the matters referred to in the remaining parts of the question is not required to be furnished to my Department and I am not, therefore, in a position to give the particulars requested.
